Tech bounces back to beat Maryland

With Tech down a set and battling in the second, senior middle Asia Stawicka left the match with an injury. The team rallied to beat Maryland 22-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-12 Friday night in Atlanta. At the time she went down, Stawicka was leading the Jackets with 9 kills, hitting .750. Sophomore middle Quinn Evans stepped in, served four straight points, and Tech never looked back. Junior rightside Monique Mead led Tech with 14 kills and 5 blocks. Sophomore setter Kayleigh Colson led the back row with 11 digs and picked up another double-double with 41 assits.
