Tech escapes Bears

Junior rightside Monique Mead had 22 kills, hitting .333, with 6 digs to lead Tech past a scrappy Mercer team 25-15, 26-24, 28-26 Saturday afternoon in Atlanta. Sophomore outside hitter Jennifer Percy added 6 kills for the Jackets while junior defensive specialist Susan Carlson led the back row with 7 digs. Carlson also had a kill and a block to end the match. Junior libero Nicki Meyer joined Carlson with 7 digs. See story and box score.
