Mead, Tech's only All-ACC honoree, could only shoulder so much of the load this year as the Jackets wound up in their first losing season since an 8-30 mark in 1990. Playing much of the year without injured seniors Bailey Hunter and Asia Stawicka, the Jackets struggled to an 8-12 ACC finish, the most conference losses in school history. Hunter will return next season after red-shirting this year, while Stawicka has finished her eligibility.

The team fought hard all the way to the end and never gave up on themselves or each other. The experience they all gained will help Tech to a better 2012.

My thanks to the team and coaches, as well as to those who listened to the broadcasts and visitied this site.
